What is the InterrUPt Initiative?
We state our mission in the simplest way...Follow Jesus. At times, in our walk with Christ, God calls us to interrupt our individual lives so God can do something special in and through us. We are in one of those special moments as we move together into the INTERRUPT initiative. This INTERRUPT initiative will fund the two-year ministry plan of our church while improving our campus through renovation and expansion so we can follow Jesus and help even more people follow Jesus. God is “UP” to something here at FirstABQ, and if we’re willing to be “interrUPted,” more people will be changed to be followers of Jesus who lead others to follow Jesus!
Our InterrUPt Vision
UPGrade – $2,500,000
We deeply pursue the Great Commission (Matthew 28). In faithful stewardship, we leverage everything at our disposal to Follow Jesus. We need our campus to help accelerate God’s desired impact in our community and city. The second component of this INTERRUPT initiative will be to UPGrade our facilities through renovation and expansion to help even more people Follow Jesus!
UPLift – $1,475,000
Through the ministries of FirstABQ, we Follow Jesus and grow people to…
· Be with Jesus everywhere
· Do what Jesus did
· Say what Jesus said
· Go where Jesus leads
The first component of this INTERRUPT initiative is to UPLift all of these ministries as we ensure funding the two-year ministry plan of the FirstABQ church.
Our PRIMARY Goal
Everyone…ALL IN!
God wants each one of us to willingly INTERRUPT our lives and do this together. The history of FirstABQ is full of special moments when the people of this church came together to accomplish something that otherwise seemed impossible. But each of those moments required what this moment will require…Everyone…ALL IN and centered on God. God can do anything, but God’s preference is to do those special things through us and grow us in the process. Through our collective sacrificial commitments, we will see God’s INTERRUPT initiative become a reality.
